Magento 2 Save For Later User Guide

The Save For Later extension allows the store admin to display a "Save For Later" option on their website. The extension allows the customer to save the products of their interest in their saved cart items, so that, they can place the order for the products later. This extension allows your customers to save the products they are interested in, so they can place the order later. Customers can access this feature only after registering with your store. This extension gives your registered (logged-in) users access to the Save For Later products. The Save For Later option in the store configuration can also be disabled by the admin.

Installation Steps

Buyers will get a Zip file, they have to unzip / extract the file to their system. The uncompressed folder will have a folder called Scriptzol and you need to transfer the Scriptzol folder to your Magento 2 root directory /app/code/.

After the successful transfer, buyers have to run the following commands in the Magento 2 root directory with the help of terminal.

• php bin/magento setup:upgrade
• php bin/magento setup:di:compile
• php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy

After the commands running successfully, need to flush the cache in admin panel.

Configuration Steps

Multiple Languages

To configure in multiple languages, Under Store > Configuration > General > Locale in admin panel, select the language which needed.

Translation of Languages

For translation of the content in the module, In the “app/code/Scriptzol/Saveforlater/i18n” folder, need to add the file. To add a file for specific language, for eg.arabic for Saudi Arabia, ar_SA.csv is the file name format.

General Configuration

To enable / disable the Save For Later , navigate to Stores > Configuration > Sales> Payment Methods > Other Payment Methods.

Front end

In frontend, the Save for later button will be displayed on each cart items.

After the user saved the items, they can look the saved cart items under My Account > Saved Cart Items.

The user can delete or move the items to cart again.
